'But I want it my way.' This attitude is an inescapable part of dealing with people. However, life is not about getting your own way. It is about finding mutually acceptable solutions and outcomes.
Getting your own way at all costs, is a destructive life strategy. Of all the skills that you need in order to survive, the ability to take other peoples' points of view and to mould them into an acceptable plan of action, is without a doubt, the most important.
A good negotiation is one where no-one “wins”, but all parties walk away with a result that they can live with, and that gets the job done. The difficulty is getting someone to want to negotiate with you.
During this practical session, your will learn how to influence a negotiation in such a way that no-one achieves their "wish list", but where all parties have an acceptable plan that will work to achieve the desired result.
