A PERSONAL PROFILE OF HANS NGOBENI
Hans Ngobeni holds a
B.A (Hons)
International Relations from the University of the North, a diploma in
Personnel and Training Management, an advanced diploma in Labour Law,
a certificate in Transport Management, and has done several courses in
arbitration and mediation.
Hans’s expertise comes from his years
of practical involvement in leadership development for Transnet, and
the facilitation of transport related disputes in Gauteng, Free State
and North West provinces. He serves on the appeal panel of the
chairpersons of disciplinary hearings in the Tshwane Metropolitan
Municipality and the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality, dealing
with employer-employee relations issues.
Other projects that contribute to Hans’s wealth of
knowledge are his successful wage negotiations for
SATAWU
and Apron Services in 2002, where a strike was averted. He was
involved in the establishment of the Mozambique Alternative Dispute
Resolution Centre for the Mozambique NGO’s in 1999.
Adding to his success is the fact that
Hans can speak, read and write 9 different South African languages.
Hans is married and lives in Midrand, Gauteng.
