Introduction
In
business today, more and more of the functions which were
traditionally the role of “senior”, or remote management, are
being sent "down the line" to the supervisory level. The
problem with this is that most of the time a supervisor has been
chosen for his or her technical ability, and little or no emphasis
was placed on the ability to effectively manage people.
This
programme is designed to give supervisors the necessary skills with
which to supervise effectively. It emphasises the fact that people
need to be managed as individuals first and then as part of a team.
